About Buckalew PTO
Welcome to Buckalew Elementary! As part of the Buckalew community, all families are invited to join the PTO which meets monthly. We so appreciate our active and generous volunteers who continue to shape the success of Buckalew and strengthen our students’ foundation for learning. We have many volunteer opportunities and need you to continue making Buckalew an outstanding school. Please consider joining the PTO fun.
The purpose of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to:
(a) promote the welfare of children at Buckalew
(b) to foster cooperation between parents and teachers in the education of children at Buckalew
(c) to unite school and community efforts in securing for all children the best education
(d) to engage in fundraising activities for the educational and recreational benefit of Buckalew, its children, teachers, and staff as determined by the PTO and in accordance with the PTO by-laws.
Did you know that many of the memorable “extras” in our kids’ Buckalew experience are paid for by the PTO’s fundraising efforts? Some of the things we finance include:
In addition to giving financially, there are lots of opportunities to participate in Buckalew PTO sponsored programs. If you are interested in participating with the Buckalew PTO, please see the available positions on the Volunteer page. We would love to have you!
