A timeline of annual events is also available below.

Meet the Teacher – The night of Meet the Teacher, the PTO has tables set up in the gym where you can pick up your pre-ordered spirit wear and yard signs. We also have PTO board members available to give you more information about PTO memberships and volunteer opportunities.

Deadline to purchase a PTO Membership. Memberships will still be available for purchase after the deadline, but will not come with a copy of the Student Directory.

Yearbooks go on sale. Prices typically increase throughout the year, so it is best to order early!

Boosterthon – This is our major fundraiser for the fall. During this 2-week program, students participate in fun daily character development lessons. There are exciting incentives and dress up days along the way! Students collect pledges from family members and run laps in our Fun Run on the final day of the event.

Grade level playdates begin and typically are scheduled between December and February. Each grade level has one playdate per year. Students who sign up for the playdate stay after school for fun activities planned by the teachers. All proceeds from playdates go back to the grade level.

Buckalew Bash Carnival – This is our major fundraiser for the spring. Our Carnival Committee puts together this weekend event for Buckalew families to enjoy an afternoon of fun while raising money for our school. The carnival includes game booths, inflatables, and a kid’s raffle. The accompanying online Silent Auction also gives parents the opportunity to bid on items donated from the community, as well as VIP experiences for themselves and their students. Popular past items include Astros tickets, birthday party packages, 1st and 2nd in car line, preferred seating and parking for school plays/events, Birthday with Buddy experiences, and so much more!

Field Day – The school plans activities throughout the school for students. The PTO coordinates volunteers to help run these stations!

School Supplies go on sale for the following school year. The sale typically runs through early June. School supply packages purchased through the PTO will be delivered to your child’s classroom before Meet the Teacher.

Spirit Wear goes on sale for the following school year. Purchase online and pickup your order at Meet the Teacher. The deadline to order is typically in late June. A limited number of items will be available for purchase after the initial sale.
